Are you looking for an opportunity in
outside sales? If so, James Hardie Building Product's Sales
Development Program may be the opportunity you are searching
for. Established over 100 years ago, James Hardie is the
leading manufacturer of fiber cement building products, employing
over 2,500 people globally. James Hardie has shown consistent
growth averaging more than 20% per year over the last decade with
plan to nearly double in size by 2006. The company's major
operations span Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines and the
United States.
James Hardie currently employs 65 salaried
outside sales reps dedicated to growing our business through the
retail channel. We are looking for recent graduates or students
with no more than 2 semesters until graduation to join our Sales
Development program. The position requires motivated and
outgoing individuals who are looking to continually advance
within the organization.
Working 32 - 40 hours a week on a
schedule that will accommodate candidate's scholastic
responsibilities, candidate will be responsible for visiting 3-10
stores in the given territory on a rotating basis.
Each
store visit includes the following responsibilities:
* Maintaining promotional materials * Increase market
share of James Hardie Building Products * Build and maintain
quality relationships among store employees * Effectively
communicate James Hardie's brand message to
consumers * Effectively gather data
The ability to work
well in a team environment is mandatory. Candidates must show
good leadership and communication skills, as well as a strong
desire to continually improve as an employee for consideration
into a full time sales opportunity.
An hourly rate of
$10/hour, plus mileage reimbursement and limited cell phone
reimbursement provided. All overnight travel expenses, including
meals will also be provided. Please note that there is a strong
possibility that successful candidates may be required to
relocate upon taking a full time position.
