If anyone on any of these newsgroups is interested in finding out
more about COINTELPRO, I'd suggest reading *It Did Happen Here*. *It Did
Happen Here* consists of writings based on interviews of dissidents
persecuted here in the US; one of them is the victim of a botched up
COINTELPRO assassination that left him alive. Obviously COINTELPRO
didn't kill everyone who hated the government, but it killed way more
than enough to cause extreme concern.
