First of all, 'it never fails to amaze me', just how many people say 'It
never fails to amaze me', without thinking about why someone may be making a
specific request.
1. Not being a computer whizz kid like yourself, I was unaware that a power
supply for such an old computer was still available new.
2. Ever thought that someone who wanted to 'fix' a computer as old as this
one may not have much money, and every cent they can save is important to
them?
3. At a guess, a new power supply for a current computer would cost me
around $90. (from what friends have told me of their experiences.) Since
posting my request, I have been offered power supplies anywhere from $15
plus postage, to free plus postage. A warranty you say? Even if that free
power supply cost me $20 in postage, I could have at least 4 of them before
I've spent the same amount of cash on 1 new one. I'd have to be pretty
unlucky to have 4 power supplies blow in 12 months.
4. Now, did you say you had one you can offer me? or are you going to
dissappear now?
